For 3D simulations of salinity transport at estuary (where the last part of the river is considered in addition to small part from the sea), is there a steady state condition can be reached, and how does it looks like.

Hello,

What do you really mean? In tidal conditions in an estuary there is no steady state, just a salt wedge moving to and fro...

I do not have tides actually, I have upstream side with constant flow and downstream side (the sea) with constant water level. However, I do not know if I can reach a steady state because I usually have flow from the sea inside the river to some time then it reveresed to be from the river towards the sea
