According to some literature, in cases of lock-exchange or gravity currents there must be a friction between the salt water wedge and the fresh water, this kind of friction affects to some extent on the propagation of the salt water wedge (the front position). So my question is: is this friction considered in Telemac and if not is there a possibility to add it

Hello,

There is nothing specially done, but this should be included in the turbulence model, e.g. the k-epsilon model that will generate turbulence, due to velocity gradients, and that also takes into account density gradients.
