Hi every one,

I am working on TELEMAC 3D v6p2r1 and I have some troubles.
I tried to insert sources and when I give the coordinates of a point beyond the boundary, everything is ok. But when I give coordinates just on the boundary, sometimes it doesn't works (as on the figure below).
I put in the steering file "ABSCISSAE OF SOURCES", "ORDINATES OF SOURCES", "ELEVATIONS OF SOURCES" and in a sources file the discharge and tracers values depending on the time.
In the listing file it said that the points are out of the domain but I gave the double precision coordinates it suggested before.

So my question (not so important) is just if I miss something or if it's better to not insert sources on the boundary as it's said in the user manual "les sources ne doivent normalement pas être positionnées
sur le plan du fond" for the bottom.

thanks for reply

Hello,

Well I do not understand why you have this behaviour when you are just on the boundary, but it is true that sources on boundaries may not be compatible with the boundary conditions given for this boundary. For example a source on a solid boundary should rather be treated as a liquid boundary with a given discharge.

Ok, I think I will refine locally and take the second point.

Thanks a lot
