Dear all,

I'm working with a really heavy model in which the post-processing stage takes too much time.

I would like to know if it is possible to define an output serafin results file where I would have just some areas/regions of the model domain. If so, could you guide me on how to get that? If not, would it be possible to write directly the results file in the netCDF format?

jmhervouet	Hello, It is not possible so far to write directly a netCDF file. Another possibility if you work in parallel is to look at only one subdomain... Regards, Jean-Michel

jmhervouet	Dear Maria, No, cross sections are done by Postel3D as a post-treatment, so you need first to get the large results file... Regards, JM

Dear Jean-Michel,

Thank you again for your reply. I never worked directly with postel3d. I have tried to run the test case "wave" and it runs well. Nevertheless when I run the test case "vent" I have an error. I attach the ouput log file. Do you have any idea where the error comes from? The differences that I see between the two test cases is that the "wave" test case has already the results file in the directory, while in the "vent" test case we have to run first telemac3d and then postel3d.

jmhervouet	Hello, A known error for previous versions of Postel-3D is that it did not understand the date in the Selafin format. Could it be this ? It has been corrected, maybe in V6P3R2 (not sure) or in the trunk (sure). Version 6.3 of T-3D always gives a date I think. JMH
