Hello,

I have some ARTEMIS models that I did with v7p2. When I try to run these using v7p3, the simulations complete, but the results for wave height end up being NaN. I understand that v7p3 has a new way of imposing BCs, but that old way of imposing BC should still work.

The above can be demonstrated by using v7p2 validation case btwi, and running it with v7p3.

I should say that if I run v7p2 validation case with v7p2, everything is OK. Everything is also OK when I run v7p3 validation case with v7p3.

This leads me to infer that something has changed between the two versions, and I am not understanding what that is.

Does someone have an idea on how to convert older models to run on most recent version, while retaining the physics and the BC?

Pat

Hello Pat,

I confirm your issue. It never occurred to me because I migrated to the new method soon after as it appears easier to me.

The new way is summarized in post 28935.

Regards,
Costas

P.S. It is left to be explained why the old method does not work anymore.
