Hi everyone,

I'd like to know if it's possible to model the wave propagation around a floating breakwater using ARTEMIS ? If not, what kind of software may I use ?

Best regards,
Nicolas

Hello,

Have you read the topic www.opentelemac.org/index.php/kunena/art...-floating-breakwater

It may help you,

Hi Chi-Tuan,
Thanks for your reply. I did check this useful topic. I wanted to know if something else existed since this topic and in the case of a more complex shape of breakwater.

cheers,
Nicolas

Hello Nicolas,

Sorry, I cannot tell you more about ARTEMIS, because I do not use it or develop it either.

What I can only suggest you is to read the forum and the documentation (see a recent topic for the link) and have a look at the examples.

Hello nich29,
I developed the dissipation model cited in the forum message. I read incidentally: "...the case of a more complex shape of breakwater": it seems you are assuming that the presented model is uncapable of deal any other geometry than a quasi 1D domain.

The model is general, the discussion in the cited topic is about the validation on well-defined geometries.

I'm not however going to disclose the complete source code for dealing with complex geometries. Anyway all ingredients are freely available to you in the cited topic.
