Hi there,

I am new to ARTEMIS and am having trouble obtaining results from my mesh. I created a mesh for a harbour in Blue Kenue and created my steering file using FUDAA. I am interested in the wave heights in a harbour for a specified wave height ad period at the offshore boundary of the model

How do I input an initial wave height and period into my steering file? Also I would like to set my initial water level at 4.2 mCD however I get an error message when I try to set a constant elevation value.

I have attached my model files for reference. Any help would be really appreciated

Thanks

Niamh

Hi Niamh,

To set your initial water level use the key words
INITIAL WATER LEVEL = 4.2

To input an initial wave period use the following key words
WAVE PERIOD =
DIRECTION OF WAVE PROPAGATION =

To set up the wave height, you need to modify the subroutine BORH in the user Fortran File.

If you are using the v6p3 you will find many test cases, which will definitely help you, there:

C:\opentelemac-mascaret\v6p3\examples\artemis

Hope this helps
Juliette

Thanks Juliette, that was very helpful.

I managed to successfully run my model however I then had to reduce the area my mesh was covering. When I try to re-run the model for this smaller mesh I get the following error and have no idea how to correct it.
