open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hi, I have been running Artemis (in scalar mode) and moved recently from V6p2 to V7p1. When running exactly the same input files, I obtained different results, with higher wave eights (of around 12%) when using the latest version. Can you please help me to justify those differences? On the webpage's new features (in "What's new") I cannot find anything regarding Artemis, so I am not aware which changes have been made to the code when switching from V6p2 to V7p1, that can possibly be responsible for those differences in the results.
I am using the same steering file when running both versions since I cannot find online the Artemis V7p1 manual (the most recent manual I can find is V6p2). Should the steering file be different when running the latest version or is that the case that it is using different default variables?

It's difficult to answer without getting your inputs files, mesh,etc...
Between V6p2 and V7p1 several changes have been done. In particular for irregular sea states and boundary conditions...
