Dear all,

I am running some simulations in order to study harbour agitation. I am using period scanning. Therefore, I added the logical key word "PERIOD SCANNING" and the real key words "BEGINNING PERIOD FOR PERIOD SCANNING" and "ENDING PERIOD FOR ..." in my .cas file.

However, when I open the result file in BlueKenue I cannot find the simulation results for the several periods I chose.

Thank you very much for your help,
Francesco

Hi
Did you look at the different time step of the results?
You should have one time step per period...

regards
Christophe

Thank you. I have just figured out how to see the results correctly.

Hello,

Just for information on this particular point.

I have tried the default example 'reso_canal' with both v7p2(r0) and v6p3 versions of ARTEMIS.
Whereas the period scanning works fine with v6p3 (visible by activating 'animate' in BlueKenue), I got the same trouble as Francesco with v7p2 (only 5 periods max. are actually computed and only one of them (the last one?) is eventually saved in the results file).
Both .cas files are similar so this is weird.

I have not tried with more recent versions of ARTEMIS but I just wanted to warn again about it.

Thank you.
JBS.

Hello,

I have tried to run this example in v6p3, v7p2r3 and v7p3r1.
In this last version, no additional Fortran routines were provided. However, when the additional Fortran routines of the testcase under v7p2r3 are used, the v7p3r1 results seem to be in accordance with those of v6p3.

For v7p2r3 I got the same problem as mentioned above: only 5 periodes are calculated, and only 1 is stored in the results file.

I should have pointed out that I also used the old .cli and .cas files of v6p3 for these test.
In v7p3r1 there are changes in the .cli and .cas files, so additional changes of the Fortran routines are no longer needed.

Sorry for the confusion...
