Every time I need a refined mesh (around 0.5-1m element size) I get issues with the single precision of BK selafin meshes. The workaround of converting grid coordinates to local is creating additional overhead in pre & post-processing and is rather a workaround and not a solution.

Is BK going to have double precision selafin write support any time soon? If not, what are the alternatives for double precision mesh generation besides Janet?

EDF works on a platform (SALOME-HYDRO) which should be able to manage all the steps of a complete studies. The double precision management is normally include in this platform but I know that there is also an automatic management of the local-global shift in this platform...

The translation could be sometimes problematic but it avoid to enlarge the size of results file...

I would also precise that in our QGIS plugin (Post Telemac) we manage the local global conversion so you could use a local result file without any conversion...

Since Martin has retired and we (NRC) are also interested in having this completed, we (NRC) are looking at options for how we might get Martin to do this work for us. I don't want to say anything concrete, but I would hope that it would be completed within the next few months...

I'm currently working on things related to Green Kenue which is why we are trying to get Martin for Blue Kenue. In any case, there is a new resampling feature coming in Blue Kenue that I'm in the process of implementing.
