Hi there,

im trying to resample my coastline data and when i observed them in notepad, there is a difference of the headers between my data(left image) and tutorial data(right image). Compared to the tutorial data, my data have no description of the number of nodes and resolution.

Is there anyway i could insert its nodes and resolution values through BK or should i manually edit and insert the values in notepad?

P.S. I downloaded the my coastline data(left image) from coastline extractor and that is its original headers.

Thank you

In the left file there are 7 attributes and in the right file there is only 1.
The number 31 in the left file indicates that there are 31 points in the firs line.
The number 12331 in the right indicates that there are 12331 points in the first line.
See Appendix A of the manual for a description of the i2s file format.

Hope this helps... Martin

Thanks Martin,

Does that also mean that i have to edit it manually in notepad? since in the left image there is no attribute unit and resolution value.

Hi Don,

The Attribute Units keyword is just meta-data.
There is no keyword related to "resolution"

If you're just trying to resample the lines then use the menu item
"Edit->Line Set->Resample..."

Hope this helps... Martin
