Hello!

I'm having a problem with Blue kenue T3 Channel Mesher. Everytime I try to generate a channel mesh, where the left and right banklines are parallel (I'm trying to model a rectangular channel) the program crashes. It gives this message: "visualization and analysis for hydraulic modelling has stopped working". Either it crashes or it does nothing, like the run button in the T3 Channel mesher doesn't work.

Has anyone expirienced the same issue? (I'm using Windows 10)

Thanks for the responses!

Matej

Hi Matej,

Save the channel mesher object to a t3c file and post it here.
I'll have a look.

Cheers... Martin

Hi Martin!

It's really just two parallel lines. I've attached the t3c file.

Thanks, Matej

When pressing run in the main_channel.t3c it does nothing, and in side_channel.t3c Blue Kenue crashes.

Regards!

Hi Matej,

For the main_channel case you have specified right and left banks that have a length of 1 and set the "AlongChannelInterval" to 200. The AlongChannelInterval parameter defines the length of the element edges along the channel. You'll have to provide either longer banks of choose smaller elements.

The same holds true for the side_channel case where you provide banks of length 0.3 and specify an AlongChannelInterval of 60. In this case though I seem to have missed some basic error checking that results in BlueKenue crashing. That is "mud in my eye" indeed. :-(
I will report this bug it to Alan Barton at the NRC.

Hope this helps... Martin
