Hello,
I have prepared the two important files for Telemac with BlueKenue "totorial Manual for the mesher in BlueKenue".
I always get an error message "Cartesian grid is not supported" .The calculation Telemac is not canceled.

The files for Telemac are attached.

Can someone please help me.

Hello,

I don't see any apparent error in the mesh and the boundary condition file.
So the error must come from elsewhere.
But what do you mean with "The calculation Telemac is not canceled"? If Telemac runs everthing should be fine..

Best regards,
Clemens

Hello,
as the listing says:

ITERATION 1 TIME: 1.0000 S
DEBIMP : PROBLEM ON BOUNDARY NUMBER 2
GIVE A VELOCITY PROFILE
IN THE BOUNDARY CONDITIONS FILE
OR CHECK THE WATER DEPTHS

PLANTE: PROGRAM STOPPED AFTER AN ERROR

You set as initial condition a constant water level elevation of 0.2m which corresponds to the bottom elevation at the inlet. So at your first time step you don't have water there and this will not work.

Mesh: in the zone near the inlet the triangle nodes don't lie on the longitudinal intersections between bottom and banks, therefore maybe you will induce some wiggles in the calculated variables, depending on the local computed water depth.

Some other remarks:
In your steering file a lot of mandatory and also other useful keywords are missing. To begin with some: time step, number of time steps, turbulence parameters, graphic and listing printout period, which variables to write into the result file, print out mass balance, continuity correction, Treatment of the linear system, etc.

Enclosed a steering file with some of the keywords listed above.

Beste regards,
Clemens

Hi Clemens,

I also got the same problem, so I can't create a result file from geometry file, and boundary conditions file.
Could you please check it for me? and how about "Cartesian grid is not supported Information"? is it an error?

Thank you so much in advance.

Best Regards

Huy

Hello Huy,

ah, now I understand where the other user Rima got the error message "Cartesian grid is not supported Information".

It is years ago that I used Fudaa Pre-Pro so I don't know the reason of this error message. Maybe it is only an information?

I tried the case of the user Rima without Fudaa and it worked.

Best regards,
Clemens

Which program do you use instead of using FUDAA?

Thank you so much Clemens

Hello,

for the generation of the boundary condition file I use Blue Kenue. The steering file with all the keywords is a text file. You can have a look on the numerous examples how to set up a simulation. And somewhere from the Telemac website you can download a complete tutorial.

Hope this helps,

Clemens
