Maybe a problem with a graphic card!
Try on another computer or try to generate the geometry file and check it with another program like fudaa-prepro for example

I tried with two other computers, one with the same graphic card, and the second one with a different one.
It gives the same problem for the first computer, but it works for the second computer. So, you are right, it seems to be a problem of graphic card (on the two problematic computers, we have NVIDIA Quadro FX 1800).

Thank you very much for your support.

Hi All,

Usually video card problems can be resolved by making sure your drivers are fully up-to-date.

Hi Again,

I also would like to mention that if you are having trouble with
mesh generation, please post your t3m file here. It contains the
full set of data and parameters you are passing to the mesher.

Generate the t3m file by:
1. Selecting the Mesher object in the WorkSpace
2. "File->Save"

This makes debugging your problems a lot easier.

Cheers... Martin

And Hi Again,...

I don't know what flow problem you are trying to solve so
it's hard to suggest what the mesh should look like but...
I've attached a couple of t3m files that might help you
in defining your final mesh.

The first t3m file (CoastLineResampler.t3m) resamples your coastline using a pointset based density object to create
a new outline with graduated node spacing (from 30 in the
north to 600 in the south). Modify the z values of the
pointset to refine this for your situation.

The second t3m file (FinalMesher.t3m) uses the new outline
as created (option Resample Outline is OFF) and a target
element size of 1000 to create a mesh with varying density.

Hope this helps.
Cheers... Martin

Hello Martin,
Thanks a lot for your answer. I updated my drivers and the strange vertical lines disappeared!

I'm trying to simulate a dam break upstream of a valley, and the intensity of the resulting inundation. I decided to refine my mesh in the upstream part of the domain and along the river bed, and to increase the cell size downstream. Your t3m files were very usefull for that.
My simulation is now running.
Thanks a lot.
