Good evening,

I used telemac2d for my thesis work and I found it a very powerful instrument (even in my inexperienced hands).

Now I would bring the modeling to the next step and for what I understand the full potentialities of the program is the capacity of being very flexible, as long as the user can manage fortran language.

So what I would ask is if someone knows something about a fortran course that actually is incentrated in the telemac-mascaret environment. I mean, does exist something like that? Or a user have to start a deep learning of the fortran language and then apply it to telemac? If so, can someone give me some advice on which books, online courses and so on is better for start learning fortran for this purpose?

Cheers,

Andrea

Hello Andrea,

If not done already, you can read the developer guide which gives you the main features of Fortran used in the BIEF (the specific library developed for the TELEMAC-SYSTEM to deal with linear algebra + input/output + structures).

Hope this helps,

Chi-Tuan

Hi Chi-Tuan and thanks for the reply.

Yes I took a look at the developer guide and I did not carry out much, but I will take a deeper look at that.

Thanks again for the attention.

Regards,

Andrea
