Hi!

I assume that the already available functions for weirs, culverts and buses can be tuned to model a regulating structure, but I am wondering if such a new functionality could be implemented as a standard in a next release? With for example several options allowing to model dam operations. I read in some articles from the TUC that such structures has already been implemented in Telemac.

I am also wondering if it would be possible to implement a routine allowing the model Bingham fluids. This has been done in MIKE 21 from DHI, see attached document. I don't know how much work would that represent, though... ;)

Finally, I have started to use Python scripts for post processing. I find it very useful, but it demands a lot of time to find its way through all the scripts to achieve one's goals. I was wondering if some basic examples featuring classical post-processing tasks could be included in the future in the documentation as "stand-alone scripts" (plotting the mesh, velocity vectors on a spatial grid, time-series, streamlines, georeferenced images, ...)? Some users may perhaps already have some nice suggestions/contributions on that!

Thank you in advance for your feedback on these suggestions!

Best regards
PL

Hello,

Bingham fluids are certainly not very difficult to implement if it can be explicitely done (provided that u,v are the depth-averaged velocity components, not the 3D components). Probably more difficult to validate though.
