Hello Jacek,
This is correct, but only your own part of the software is yours. For example someone could sell a new user interface built from scratch, but that uses Telemac as internal solver, with only the commitment to say that the program inside is Telemac. If you want to rewrite some parts of BIEF you will always have to say that your product has "Telemac inside", and this rewritten part of BIEF will be open source, so that we can benefit of it, but the best in this case is probably to explain what you want to do and see if we can have the common BIEF evolving for all, so that you benefit also from the efforts of the rest of the community. For example your original module streamline in BIEF has evolved a lot to account for the 4D advection of Tomawac, stochastic diffusion, particles and algae, and moreover has now not even a double precision digit of difference between scalar and parallel runs. This property has been extended this year to Tomawac, and a current PhD at the university of Perpignan aims at ensuring this for the whole system.
With best regards,
