Hi everybody,

My problem is the following one :

I would like to launch two different siulations that I will have to compare very precisely. That's why I would like to launch my simulations with the same grid elements and nodes (to avoid numerical differences because of interpolation).

But one of the two models must have a smaller geographical zone because of its limit conditions.
So to resolve that problem I would like to "cut" the biggest grid following a structural line in order to get the smallest one, without changing the position and the indexes of the elements and nodes of my grid.

I have heard that it is possible to do such a thing with Fudaa but I don't know how.

Does anybody own the solution ?

Hi Gaelle,

Use Blue Kenue.

Steps to accomplish this...
1. create a polygon that defines your subregion.
2. select the larger mesh in the workspace.
3. "Tools->T3 Mesh->Extract Subset..." will extract a submesh of all elements that are fully within your polygon.
