I want to sumulate one case with 1D river net connecting with 2D lake. 1D river net is simulated by MASCARET, and 2D lake hydrodynamics is simulated by telemac. so, what i am confusing is how to connect the two parts, how to transfer 1D date to 2D?

Hi
There is actually an ongoing work on this subject to deliver a full documented exemple on this particular process using Telemac and Mascaret API in python.
This will be presented in the next Telemac-Mascaret user conference in October in Toulouse.

Hi
You could switch the interface in English in the menu edition/preference then choose accessibilite/langue

There is also a possibility to use the new interface which is a Qgis plugin instead of Fudaa-Mascaret interface (search for Mascaret)

Hi
As already written, we are working hard to deliver full documented example for the coupling of Mascaret and Telemac.
But there is nothing available for the moment.

The solution is effectively to use the API
This is the ongoing solution we're working on.
It works well on linux but we've got some problems to compile the API on windows...

Hello,

We have to treat a new hydraulic study with a complex secondary hydraulic network and for usual reasons, it is more appropriate to use 1D/2D coupling model...

Personnally, I would prefer, by far, use Telemac2D/Mascaret1D just because we have kind of infinite flexibility and it's finally more stimutating and interesting.

Is documentation on such coupling avalaible, even on linux salome platform ?

Best regards.

Thanks for you answer.

I quikly read coupling documentation in trunk.
There seems to be a lot of work behind this.

It concerns for now "longitudinal" coupling. I saw in a previous post of J-M.Hervouet that lateral coupling has also been tested. Will it be available in the new version of telemac ?

Best regards.
