After the installation of the PostgreSQL 9.4 and PostGIS 9.4, and add the PostGIS layer operation in QGIS 3.4.8, the Mascret plugin 1.0 still don't work.
The add postgis layer operation shows me the connection to Mascaret database is successs, but from the Mascaret plugin window, it still inform me that there is no opened connection! The attachments contains the prompt images. Hope for your kindly help!
What should I do to use the QGIS plugin?

Best regards!

Dear c.coulet,
I have figured out how to create and connect to the Database in QGIS, now the Mascaret plugin can run well, but I find its interface and the operations are totally different from Fudaa. For example, now I can add a polyline in the branchs layer, then I can add an extremite in extremites layer, next, what should I do to connect them two? in Fudaa, when I drag the ends of the reach near to the junction, they will attach each other automatically, now what should I do in QGIS's Mascaret plugin? Is there a mannual that I can refer to?
Hope for your kindly help!
Best Regards!

Hi

There is no formal user manual in English, just a draft of a tutorial but too huge to be joined in this topic

I place here a link to download it.
tutorial_en
It's only valid for 7 days.
It's a first draft...

Hope this will help you
Christophe

Sorry to bother you again and again! I just have another two questions:
1 what if I have only the cross sections profile(the geo files for fudaa) ? Can I import them in the QGIS Mascaret plugin?

2 In the simulation procedure, sometimes the model shows error that "Cross section #XXX is dry" and the simulation will stop, but sometimes some reach may be dry because of the low water level at the inlet of the reach, I can't just drop that reach from the net, sometimes when the inlet water level is high enough the reach will wet again, for this situation, can the model just go along without the warning of "dry" cross section?

Best regards!

Hi
For question 1, there is no automatic import. You should use the copy/paste function for each profile...
Develop an import function for the geo files is on the TODO list but this is not easy as there is no spatial reference in the geo file.
If you would like to develop one, we will be happy to integrate...

For question 2, only transcritical kernel allow to have dry area in a model. With the unsteady kernel the model should be always wet.

Hope this helps
Christophe
