Hi,
I have 2 questions about the configuration of junction.
1_2019-06-21.png

1. For junction illustrated above, point A, B ,C are the center points of the last cross sections of the reaches that joined in the junction , which point should I take as the origin of the local coordinate system? any one of them is OK? or there is a criterion when the orgin is choosen?

2. If A is considered the center of the cartesian coordinate system.then the angle α of the orthonormal external vectors of the cross sections are measured like that shows in Fig.2, is it right?

Hi
You're right on the both questions.
In fact, you just should be coherent between you choice for the center point and the angle...
But you should describe the junction with this methodology only if you use the transcritical computation kernel, otherwise it's not used...

Regards
Christophe

Thanks a lot!
I think I get the idea, the extremite itself has its order, if I can make sure the order of them, I can pick any of them to be the local orgin, then the others' configuration is settled.
Thanks a lot! :P
Best regards!
