Hello,

can Mascaret model the time dependent lowering of a weir and the consequent highly unsteady flow?

The weir holds the water in a small rectangular prismatic canal (initial condition) and is lowered with some speed and sunks-in into the bottom slot. We have good measurements from the process and want to investigate the flushing efficiency.

Thanks in advance,
Clemens

Hello,

this modelling is not possible with all the computational kernels. You will have to choose the super critical one and then define the temporal gradient of the crest lowering in the properties dialog box of the weir.
