For the downstream boundary condition of a maritime 1D model, it seems we can only use a water level boundary condition.
While technically it's possible to impose a downstream flow, if we also impose an upstream flow, will-it computate correctly ?
And is-it physically correct ?

you can try starting with a good initial state. But the problem is difficult and the correctness of the computation is not guaranteed with inflow at the downstream.
