Hi,

I'am a new french user of mascaret (sorry for my english). I'm working for the french state organization for flood forcating (SCHAPI). We aim at launching Mascaret through a software able to run diffrent types of forcast softwares.

We use Mascaret 7.2.

It seems that older versions produced a file named "controle.txt" containing the progression of a the computation. Is it stille true ? If true, what is the
new filename ? if not, is there a way to detected computation progression ?

Thanks in advance,

Xavier

Hello Xavier,

I advice you to use Mascaret in your software as a dynamic library with its API. You will then be able to control the simulator, interact with it more precisely and do parallel calculations.

If you still want to use the executable version, the 'Controle.txt' is the good file to know the progress status.

Hello Fzao !

thanx for your answer and advice ! But my situation is a little bit more complex :( ... Actually, I use DAMP prototype (Mascaret with assimilation) developped by french state services ... So I must use Mascaret as executable :cheer:

Don't you know if 'Controle.txt' still exists ? if yes, where is it generated ? or configured ?

Hello Xavier,

I'm not sure that the executable used by DAMP is the classic one. May be it uses the APIs and is linked with the static Library of Mascaret. In this case, the 'Contrôle.txt' file no more longer exists.

To confirm this talk, ask CERFACS might be a good idea...
