smile consult software - Community-Edition

The company smile consult GmbH expects to provide the tools for numerical
modeling Janet, Gismo and Davit under the name Community Edition in a
limited free version for non-commercial use at the beginning of October 2011.

This offer is addressed to scientists and engineers working in the field of numerical
modeling who are interested in gaining insight into the capabilities of the software.

Following tools are now available as community edition:
o Digital Terrain Modeling (Gismo)
o Grid Generation (Janet) and
o Simulation Data Analysis (Davit)

The above mentioned tools correspond to the latest version and offer full functionality.

Usage is only limited by the maximum number of nodes to be stored (Janet and Gismo) or
the maximum number of nodes to be loaded (Davit).
The database interface to the MySQL database management system allows users to create
arbitrarily large digital terrain databases. The read access is limited to maximum of five
records per read operation.

Commercial use of the community edition is not allowed!

The community edition is available for the platforms Windows, Mac OS, Linux, Unix and
can be downloaded from the website of smile consult GmbH. In order to access the software
after downloading, the user just has to register using his name, institution and Email address.

Smile consult GmbH reserves all rights to adjust the functionality or limitations of the
Community Edition if necessary.
