open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hello everyone,

I have telemac, matisse and rubens in my computer. They all work well.
Today I installed Mattise and Rubens on another windows computer.
The Rubens can work. But the matisse cannot work.
The error reads "unable to launch Rubens, execution stopped"
Does anyone know about this? Thanks in advance! Here is the pic:

Probably a problem with the launcher script of Matisse which cannot reach to find the pid number of rubens

have a look in the old post on this subject, there are some tricks to try to solve this problem

Thanks. I looked at the old post and I only find this one:

which is related to my problem. I'm still not clear with that. Could you be more specifically?

Here is a list of action to do before trying to run Matisse

1. Check in the task manager that no rubens process exist
2. Check a temp directory exist in your telemac installation in the bin directory
3. Check this temp directory is empty

If all this points are OK, you could try to run Matisse. If the result is negative, you should check one more time those points. Then you could try to replace the file named runmatrub.pl by this one

This version give more information about the launch procedure and this could help us to understand where your problem comes from

I had this problem when I helped other people to install Matisse in their computers.
I sent this solution to them last weekend but currently I havn't heard from them. I'll tell you later.

while i am trying to solve matisse in my computer, i got a new information from blue kenue. Now In new version of blue keneue has a function to creat conlim file like matisse. I hope it is useful for some one have a problem with matisse.

I tried to use the new perl script to launch Matisse and I got the following messages:



Does it mean ther is a problem of launching Rubens? But I checked the task manager and Rubens was running.

Even Rubens is running, THe matisse script cannot reach to capture the pid of rubens.
Maybe this could come from a trial of using matisse on a 64 bits platform and in such case, the launch script which search rubens but cannot reach to identify rubens*32.
