Hi,

I am currently using V5P9 of TELLEMAC and was hoping to view some of my 3-D results. However when I initially installed V5P9 it seems that the executable file postel3dv5p9.exe did not install. Is there anyways I can download the relevant files without having to re-install the whole TELEMAC system.

I'm hoping that simply copying the Postel-3D files into the correct directory will do the trick. If so, I would be grateful if someone that had the 5.9 version could forward it to me. My email is This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Hi Philip,

Why not just use BlueKenue?

Hi Martin,

Thanks for the reply. I downloaded BlueKenue as you suggested. The software allows for some pretty neat graphics.

I probably should have mentioned earlier that what I'm ultimately trying to do is numerically print some velocity cross-sections so that I can then enter the y, z and velocity values into matlab.

Am I correct in saying that BlueKenue wont be much use in this case?

Hi Philip,

For now there is no tool to extract arbitrary 3D cross sections, sorry.

If it helps though, you can extract a time-series of the vertical profile at a node.

Hi
In the free version 5.9 of telemac system Telemac3D was not available so postel was not available too.
If you really want to have postel on your computer, you couls download and install the latest version and just use it for postel post-treatment.
This module is available in version 6.1 and as the selafin file never changed, it could deal with result from any older version of telemac

Hope tis helps

hi

I think you can extract cross section as you want with fudaa prepro post-processor. I never used it with T3D but with T2D you can extract all the results you want in csv table

hope this help

Hi

You can extract a cross section from a 2D result but Fudaa is not able to manage the 3d results. It just manage the result on each palne of the 3D mesh...

Fudaa is not the good solution for 3D results for the moment

Hi,

I have downloaded Fudaa-Prepro and the program returns an error message ("found unsigned entry in resource") when I attempt to install it. Regardless it appears that from Christophe's comment the program is not suitable for printing CSV files for selected vertical cross-sections.

I am quite happy to download the newest version of TELEMAC, but is there anyways for me to then convert velocity values in the x, y, z directions into numerical format (from Postel cross-sections or other alternative) so that I can then read them into the Matlab program with which I would like to plot my figures?

Thanking you for all the help and suggestions.
