dear all,

is there a way of generating the geometry file without going through the preprocessing software?

My idea would be to derive a mesh and the boundary conditions directly from a gis like grass or even create it with matlab. Is this possible?

cheers

Hello,

You have the selafin file format described at the end of the "guide to programming in the Telemac system". It is a binary file, probably easier to write in Fortran, as it will be read by Fortran. The format basically requires the mesh connectivity and coordinates + bottom elevations, so once you have this everything is possible.

Hi,

Have you looked at Bluekenue it is super-easy to use and it does the job without coding or any thing like that.

Best regards,
Sumit
