open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Dear All,

I am using Bluekenue and Tecplot for post-processing results from Telemac-2D and Telemac-3D, my question is, is there way of viewing the results as the simulation keeps on going.

As of now If I am running simulation for 1 day, I have to wait for 10-12 hrs to get the final selafin files (containing the result of whole day simulation) and then visualise the results.

Any and all guidance will be greatly appreciated.

When running telemac creates a temporary folder named after the steering file and the time of running. For example:
telscaleTom.cas_2012-01-24-21h22min40s

In there, you will find T2DRES, that contains the intermediate results (for the out put time steps you specify
Copy that to another location, and you can process it as a normal result file.

Hi Sumit,

As stated by Michiel, you can get intermediate results from the T2DRES* files (as long as data are correctly flushed).

When running TELEMAC in parallel :
- you can rebuild the final result file by running gretel (see program in the parallel sources) ;
- or you can load parallel subdomains files (e.g. T2DRES000$NCSIZE-*) with the TELEMAC data loader in Tecplot without waiting for gretel.

Quick question, would the same utility work for the siumlation-results from Telemac3D-parallel.

If not is there something that I can use for converting the Telemac3D parallel simulation results to Tecplot format.
