I work on a dam project.

The location and dimensions are not yet well defined. I wanted to know if it was possible to keep the numbering of edge nodes and edit only that of the dam (because of fortran program on artemis). Or if not possible.

Hello,

You can change the coordinates in the mesh with subroutine CORRXY in library bief, without changing the mesh numbering, provided that it remains a mesh, i.e. without overlapping of elements.

Thanks for your quick answer. I will read documentations and post about this subroutine.

Best Regards

Sorry, I poorly explained my problem.

In fact, I would keep my border numbers, but I would add an other border.

With corrxy, I can move the boundary points.
With corrfond, I can change the bathymetry.

But is there a subroutine to replace interior nodes by boundary nodes without renumber all the boundary points?
Because I would add reflexion.

Do you know if it is possible?

Hello,

No, there is no such subroutine, anyway I do not understand well how you can change interior points into boundary nodes if you do not remove elements, which would be another problem. Otherwise boundary nodes in islands in the mesh are numbered after the contour of the domain, so it should not change the numbers on the boundary.

I don't think about this problem.
Maybe create an island against the border is solution for my problem.

If it doesn't work, I would create again a mesh and I would change my file boundary condition. But I think they are many modification.

Thanks for your answer and your help
