Hello everyone,

I have my 3D results in the format .res and I want to get a vertical or horizontal profile of the velocity at some coordinate.
More precisely, I need in the same vieuw the elevation in the vetical axis and the velocity in the horizontal axis. In this way I can show my results to someone else.

Does anyone have a code or a routine that managed to do it ?

I try Blue Kenue but it is not possible to get the graph I want, I can only have the velocity vs the No. of plan and I can't extract those data (I'm stuck with the graph).

I work on windows and I heard that paravieuw is not easy to deal with, beecause of the plugin SEL --> whatever can be read by paravieuw.

I can deal with Matlab and I understand pretty much of the code. I can't see how the RESULTS are stocked when NB PLAN >1 in the array. I think I need to extract the data from that part of the array but I'm stuck at this point.

Thank you for considering my problem

Hello,

If you can work with the code and matlab, I'd recommend you first try POSTEL3D. It is one of the TELEMAC modules to build 2D cross-section files (vertical and horizontal) from your 3D SELAFIN file.

POSTEL3D create 2D SELAFIN files (for horizontal slices) of 2D LEONARD files (for vertical slices). You shoul dbe able to load these both in Matlab. Do have a look at the POSTEL3D manual.

Final note: there is also an existing Matlab tool developed by HR Wallingford for TELEMAC applications, available here: Mermaid

Hope this helps.
Sébastien.

Hello,

Could you please tell me where can I get the documentation for Postel3D? I have been searching but I cannot find it!

Thank you.

Kind regards,
Maria

I have a utility which runs under Windows and converts Telemac 3D output into Paraview VTK format. If you want to try it out let me know.
