open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Dear all,

I run my first case with TELEMAC-3D and I would like to check the results, making some sections in Postel-3D. At first I tried with 1.
I selected the nodes in Janet and then wrote the postel cas file "postel.txt". I get this error...

I tried to select iother points of the mesh, to switch the coordinates, ... etc but I always get this error.

Do you perhaps know where I went wrong?

Hello,

I suspect that your lines giving the coordinates have more than 72 characters, so the values are perhaps truncated. Try to put them on a second line after the keyword.

I tried, also to delete the spaces or to put them in the second line, or again to swich them... I always get the same error...

Other hint: did you change the coordinates in corrxy.f because they are very large ? (those modified coordinate are then in the results file).

thank you for your hint but I think I did not completely understood it.
Until now, I worked with TELEMAC-2D and there were no problems with my coordinates. Also when I simulated sources, I was giving ABSCISSAE and ORDINATES and everything when fine (usually TELEMAC was suggesting the "right coordinate to take into account" - e.g. if I wrote 560157.2 m by then, TELEMAC was suggesting 560157.2000 m).

OK so you do not shift your coordinates, then I do not see what can happen, we would need all the necessary files to try to run Postel3d ourselves.
