open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hi everyone,

I've just installed telemac, matisse and rubens for windows from telemacsytstem site. Telemac is setteled in C:\TELEMAC and there are two folders in it, first Pre_Post second V6P0. Matisse is in the Pre_Post folder.

There is a problem with matisse. I want to open matisse from this location: "C:\TELEMAC\Pre_Post\matisse\V2P1R1\win" but nothings happen, when I open the matisse program.

Another problem is rubens. When I open the rubens, there is a error message like this:

ERROR 5: Invalid license parameters
definition <-6>
License environment variable not defined

Then a window pops-out and says that rubens.exe has stopped working, then asking to close the program.

To FUDAA-PREPRO is the same, fudaa can not access the matisse and rubens.

I can't open the matisse,rubens programs and I can't do anthing. I'm a new user and I want to know where I do wrong.

Can anyone explain the procedure?

I fixed the problem, anyway thanks. I reload matisse, rubens, telemac and visual studio for fortran now it's working.


There is a another problem for matisse. In matisse program I can crate manually nodes. But I can't import data file.

I try .dxf, .txt files but it doesn't work. What is exactly format of data file. I try ".txt" file for XYZ format (first coloum is x direction, second y and finally z direction there is a 1 space between them like this: "2,34 3,56 -4,89" ) it doesn't work.

I know what the format is .sx file but I don't know how can I create .sx file. I red a lot of writing on the internet and forum.I could not anything

Please help me if you know anything about this.

(my english is not so well, but...i hope to help you)
1)for dxf files, you have create always under version 12 (from autocad for example).
2) you must copy the file "cp.bat" in c:telemac/pre-post/bin folder, (read in the forum how to find it)
when you initilise matisse, normaly a window apears with a message: "attention, format recuperé de la sauvegarde d'image incounnu" click on ANNULER..
when you do that you can import a dxf file...try it!!
that's the form how i can fix the problem...tell me if it worked well!

I have done what you say but it's not working. But after I saw the message in perl command line "the system can not find the file specified" because of this I copied the .dxf file to another location.

If the .dxf file in your desktop, it's not working. Matisse can not find the dxf file. After changing location it is working :)

Hi Cassandre

On windows, you should install PERL first! This is necessary to launch all Telemac modules.
On Unix/Linux PERL is often already installed with the kernel.

After install it, please reload telemac to allow the final step of Telemac setup to run well.

Thank you very much, it works well now (I just tried Matisse through Fudaa right now).
If I may, it took me a while to find the installation guide in the part Telechargement\TELEMAC\Sources. Maybe it would be useful to post something in the FAQ or to add the installation guide in a other section.
