Hi all!

I have started using T3D recently, and I am trying to figure out which is the post processor used on the example pictures below (I assume all these images come from the same software since the crosshairs are identical...).

It is maybe fudaa, but unfortunately i don't manage to make the 3D-version working on my PC...

Hi
All these pictures are build with Tecplot.
Fudaa is not appropriate for the 3D results view. The 3D module just allow you to watch 2D results in 3D. The 3D results are drawn as some 2D results in each plan.

I think the best solution is to use Blue Kenue or if you're more easy-to-use with 3D viewers, you could try Tecplot or Paraview. Some add-ons are available with telemac download in order to allow these programs to read the Telemac results file.

Thank you very much!

I actually use normally Blue Kenue and do think it is a good tool for 3D, but unless if I am wrong, it does not seem possible to draw / extract cross sections (as on Figure 10 in my first post).
The features that Tecplot offer seem really intresting. I will try it...

Hi again,

As i can just try the open source one (Paraview), is there a way to get an add-on for v6.1 (I can also wait to have the one to be released along with 6.2, but if it exists somewhere...) ?

Thank you in advance,
PL

Hi

.\V6P1\bin\AddOns\Paraview_Plugins\sel2vtk\sel2vtk.f90

I thought it was easy to find in the bin directory...
Maybe the term add-ons is not well adapted as it seems to me that this program convert Selafin file into a vtk file which could be easily read by paraview

hope this helps

Hi all,

This note is to confirm that Blue Kenue does not currently support the extraction of cross sections. It's in the "plan"...
Our approach "will be" to allow the user to define arbitrary 3D surfaces on which the temporal scalar or vector results will be mapped.

Cheers... Martin
