open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hi,everyone,
I have read the mannual of tememac2d, V7.0, it seems that it offers the use of 5 water quality (WAQ) processes. Only 2 of them are implemented so far. So if it means that I cannot couple water quality with sediment move so far ?

Actually, 2 processes are already implemented with Telemac-2D. Water quality processes, when activated, imply the add of 1 (or more) tracers which are advected and diffused like any other tracer. The sediment part is completly independent. That's why you can use simultaneously WAQ and sediment transport.

Thank you very much.I have not explain clear. If I want to simulate the total phosphorus(TP), because phosphorus can be absorbed by sediment, so must consider the impact of sediment. Is it the work of Micropol module? I have read the mannual, but I am not sure that if telemac can do that.

yes you can do it with Micropol module. However, this module is under development and will be added in the next release (November 2015).
If you are interested by a 'trial' version, I'm about finishing the development of this module and it should be ready the first week of August. you can then download the trunk version and use the Micropol module.

Actually I'm doing it right now and it is not in the trunk yet. By the end of this month you can download it, however, if you can wait util mid-october, you could hopefully download the new release v7p1 which will be for sure more stable and more efficient.
