TOPIC: Initialize spatially varying suspended sediment concentration (SISYPHE

Initialize spatially varying suspended sediment concentration (SISYPHE 4 months 6 days ago #45185

Hello All,
I am relatively new in Telemac, have susccessfully simulated the hydrodynamics using Telemac-2D for the coastal region of east Indian Coast. I am trying to simulate the suspended sediment transport, where I would like to give spatially varying Suspended Sediment concentration values as the initial condition. Is there any subroutine through which I can achieve this. Requesting your help. Thank you.

Hello,

You can try to implement something in USER_CONDIN_TRAC user Fortran subroutine available to implement initial conditions for tracers in TELEMAC-2D.

Thanks dear Chi-Tuan,
I have tried to implement "something" in USER_CONDIN_TRAC. As I wish to simulate the suspended sediment transport I need the variable "CS" to be spatially varying. I am having only one sediment size class. The USER_CONDIN_TRAC, which I have made, is attached. The program gets compiled but gives a segmentation error at the starting itself. Unfortunately I haven't come across any discussion where spatially varying suspended sediment concentration is imposed as an initial condition.

It would be really helpful to understand where I have gone wrong.

Thanks in advance.

Dear Chi-Tuan,

I am still stuck in giving spatially varying suspended sediment concentration as initial condition.

I would like to know which parameter represent the suspended sediment concentration, The parameter "CS0"eventhough represents initial sediment concentration its dimension does not correspond to that of the domain grid.

I really would like to know which parameter should be changed and the method to change.

Thankfully
