Hello everyone,

i have some problems to prescribe a time varying solid discharge at my model inlet.
I managed to modify the subroutine conlit.f and add new ones which are adaptions of cgl.f and read_fic_cgl.f, in that way that sisyphe reads the incoming amount of sediment from an external txt. file and splits it up in defined fraction according to given sediment diameters. In my opinion this process seem working.

However in the inlet the sediment deposits directly at the inlet with an unrealistic bottom evolution. I guess that this is a reason of to low bottom stresses due too low velocities at the inlet. But i don't have any idea how to solve this problem. Or maybe i made some mistakes in the subroutines.
For better understanding i attached my fortran file.

Best regards,

Markus

Extension:
A relation between the actual flow profile/bed shear stress over the boundary and the incoming sediment profile could be working. But i only found out that i can manually describe a horizontal profile in the sisyphe-boundary file in Q2BOR column, which is than used in desimp.f i guess. Unfortunately this will work only for constant profiles but not for a real river with varying discharges and water levels, as in my case.

Hi I have a very similar problem like but I have no knowledge of Fortran.

I have a real river. I would like to feed in solid discharge in three grain size classes at the inlet.

Say the K values for the liquid boundary nodes are 10, 11, 12

The suspended sediment concentrations in (g/l) for class 1, 2 and 3 at the liquid boundary nodes for every hour are:

Hour Class1 Class2 Class3

1 0.032 0.016 0.07

2 0.033 0.017 0.068

3 0.032 0.017 0.068

Say the model time step is 1 second.

Can anybody help me with a sample conlit.f subroutine (with detailed comments on the user input part) and advice me on the configuration of the boundary condition file for running a simulation for 3 hours with this type of data?

I understand that I have to store this class-wise sediment concentration in a separate text file and somehow make the user subroutine read it. However, I don't know how to do it.
