I didn't received any reply for my previous post. I'll be very grateful for any advice.

In the same topic I tried two methods indicated in the manual for coupling telemac and tomawac.

unfortunately none works well

I send you the cas file and error msg. May be w'll you be able to make correction on the steering file to improve the coupling of the two program

Hi Thierry,

If I'm not mistaken, your error message is related to your first steering file for offline coupling mode (cas_TEL_SM_coup1.cas), isn't it?
You should add the keyword for the format of the binary data file 1:
For the second steering file related to inline coupling mode, the error should be different.

Thank you for your reply and help, I made some new tries of coupling telemac with tomawac to see the incidence of waves on tidal currents around a seamount, but I got a lot of hanging up !!

I tried to use telemac 3D but meet some pb of conversion whith sel2vtk

Hi Thierry,

First, what about your issue for offline coupling? did the addition of BINARY DATA FILE 1 FORMAT solve the problem?

For inline coupling, it seems that you're using fortran modifications for tomawac, and the segmentation fault error is surely related. Hard to say exactly why without further informations on your case.

To read spectra written by tomawac, you have several possibilities without conversion to vtk format: python or matlab scripts for instance.

In a general way, I advise you to increase the complexity of your case step by step. You can fisrt run tomawac alone and telemac2d alone before coupling them. Then you can adapt your telemac2d case for telemac3d and try the coupling again.

In fact the answer was in the message error but it was not explicit.
your line VARIABLES FOR 2D GRAPHIC PRINTOUTS is too long.
A steering file must respect Fortran style. no more than 80 column.
But you can write on more lines like this :

VARIABLES FOR 2D GRAPHIC PRINTOUTS = HM0,TM01,TM02,TMOY,TPD,DMOY,SPD, ZF,WD,FX,FY,UX,UY,VX,VY,SXX,SYY,SXY
