As you suggest me I have installed Perl before installing Telemac and i typed ENTER at the end of the setup command so to close the command window.

Unfortunately I have the same negative answer from the prompt when i try to launch telemac2d cas.txt from the command window.

I am in a mess...
cheers

Hi,
I am still in trouble with running of telemac but now it seems that the command windows ricognized telemac2d. In fact when a write the command
C:\>TELEMAC\V6P0\bin\telemac2d cas.txt There is this error:
Can't find runtel.pl on path. What does it means, please.
Cheers.

Well, it seems that %SYSTELCFG% (path to config file) and %PATH% (path to script files) are not well positioned.

=> Are you sure that Perl/Ifort were installed when you first tried?

So, I think you should restart from the beginning.

If the Intel Fortran Compiler is available on your system, then you should use the setup file : install_telemac_v6p0_win_ifc.

At the end, %SYSTELCFG% must be known and 'telemac2d' must be available in DOS cmd.

OR

If Intel Fortran compiler is not available, you should try to install TELEMAC manually as described in the installation note (using gfortran).

And you should also have a look to "how to set up environment variables". Please refer to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Environment_variable or support.microsoft.com/kb/310519.

Best regards,

Thanks Fabien,
reading another post i maybe understand my problem but i don't know the practical operation to do.
Writing 'set SYSTELCFG' in the DOS cmd it says that SYSTELCFG is a environmental variables not defined. So I think I have to create this new variable but i do not how to do. Please if you have the explanation, answer!!
Thanks
cheers.

Hi

I succesfully set the environmental variable SYSTELCFG in the correct path C:\TELEMAC\V6P0\config
then i ran again the file install_systel.bat.
Than I copy the file runtel.pl in the folder pointed by the env. variable named PATH (C:\Perl\site\bin).
in the DOS window I try
C:\>TELEMAC\VP60\bin\telemac2d cas.txt
and i get the following massage:

'getproject' is not recognized

FATAL: Module <tm_info> inaccessible.
BEGIN failed--compilationaborted at C:\Perl\site\bin/runtel.pl line 273.

What does it mean??
Thanks

It seems to me that you make too much different operation.
Try to uninstall all and delete all the modification you made in your environment variables.

Then, you install perl first and telemac in a second time. Please make a copy of the windows message which appear at the end of the telemac installation and post it on this topic.

After that, you should update your PATH like it's indicate (Adding C:\TELEMAC\V6P0\Bin)

Then, you could open a command windows on C:\ just type telemac2D.
If the installation is OK, you should have a help message about how to run telemac.

If this trial work, then go to your training directory (where the cas.txt file is located) by changing directory in the command window and once at the right location just type telemac2d cas.txt

If you encountered some problems, please join some images of screen capture and also the result of set command

Hi,

After following the indicated steps, I get the same error when typing telemac2d

I have checked the perl version > 5.2 and it is ok.

I had no problems in installing telemac.

I have set telemac path, having in environmental variable path (C:\strawberry\c\bin;C:\strawberry\perl\site\bin;C:\strawberry\perl\bin;C:\TELEMAC\V6P0\bin).

What do you think is wrong?

Hi
What is your message exactly?
On which windows version did you installed telemac?
Is the windows command at the end of installation OK?

Hi,

I have followed the indicated steps:

1. Install perl
perl -v gives perl version

2. Install telemac
ok

3. Setting environment variable PATH for TELEMAC
I have the environmental variable PATH(C:\strawberry\c\bin;C:\strawberry\perl\site\bin;C:\strawberry\perl\bin;C:\TELEMAC\V6P0\bin)

However, when typing telemac2d, I have the same kind of error:

FATAL: Module <tm_info> inaccessible.
BEGIN failed--compilationaborted at C:\TELEMAC\V6P0\bin/runtel.pl line 273.

What can be wrong?
