Hello forum!

I am trying to model the accumulation of sediments from a fish farm to the sea bed of a lake. The lake is fairly deep and the transport of sediments from the deposited area is thereby very low. My source is located at 3 meters depth and I have included sediment as a tracer.

However, the result shows a LINEAR growth of sediment on the sea bed. This would mean that the sedimentation in fact does not depend on the simulated currents? (I get a fairly circular deposition even though the current vary quite a lot in both direction and velocity).

Do anyone know why this is, and how to allow the sediment to travel in the direction of the currents?

My settings are as follows:

SEDIMENT = YES
MEAN DIAMETER OF THE SEDIMENT = 0.0045 /m EXPERIMENTERA påverkar ej enligt E
CONSTANT SEDIMENT SETTLING VELOCITY = 0.08
EROSION COEFFICIENT = 0.
CRITICAL SHEAR STRESS FOR DEPOSITION = 0.2

Thank you in advance!
