I got the telemac and sisyphe result. I want to capture quality image of animation for the result in successive time interval for my thesis. i already tried capturing using snipping tool when use of Bluekenue. but the image is not that good.and i have to pause each every time interval to capture the animation.

so can someone please tell me if there is better method or solution to this. or some other software available for this ?

Hello,

I think the most widely used way is by plotting the results with Python. Using it you have complete control over the final image. Within the Telemac installation directory there is a folder called "scripts". There you can get the scripts to manipulate selafin files.

For Matlab there is also an utility for reading and writing selafin files. As well as with python, you can manipulate the figures as you wish. It's but a matter of choice.

Other than that you can use basically any programming interface that has a graphics system. You only have to read the selafin there and write the code that will save you images as you want.

Hope this helps.

Best regards,

Phelype

Hello,

On a different approach...you could export your animation (which is a video with a custom resolution equal to your BK viewer window size) from bluekenue to an *AVI (or even *mp4) file and then convert that video into frames using a video editing tool or any other method that you prefer.

That way you could preserve the quality of your image and theoretically could get all the frames/times that you want from your animation if you play around with the frame options in the bluekenue save video wizard.

Hope it helps,

José Díaz.

Hi All,

Just for the sake of completeness...

If you choose "Uncompressed" encoding on the Blue Kenue Recording tab
you will get an avi at screen resolution (ie. whatever your Image size is set to).
