Hi,
Is there a feature that provides exporting rasters (like surfaces) from BlueKenue to GIS formats (like GeoTiff or IMG)?

regards

Hello,

The short answer is: not really ... however,

if you are looking for an image, you can always save-to-clipborad (copy screen at high resolution) and paste in your graphic software to finally save as TIFF or etc. You will obviouslyhave to geo-reference your image.

you can save the mesh as Google Earth's kml file, or if you extract isolines base on the colour scale of your choice, you can save that set of iso-lines as esri shape file (for instance), which should be compatible with your GIS software.

Hope this helps nonetheless,

Sébastien

To add to Sebastiens reply...

One way to get finite element mesh data into a GIS system.

1. Create a new grid via "File->New->Regular Grid..."
2. Map the data from the triangular mesh onto your new grid using "Tools->Map Object"
3. Using "File->Save Copy As..." you can export the grid to an ArcInfo ASCII grid file.

Hope this helps... Martin
