Hello,

i'm about to start a Telemac-2D project and the main objective is to compute and visualize the friction velocity U* at different heights of banks and for a located cross section in order to propose vegetale solutions (from -5m to -3m, U* = ..., from -3m to -1m, U* = ..., from -1m to water level...).

Does BlueKenue or Ruben allow this type of graphical representation using a simple Telemac-2D project?

Thank u very much.
Max.

Hello,

I think I could do that with Rubens but why not displaying all friction velocities in colour with another display of heights on the same page ? It would give all the information.

For what you asked for, the solution with Rubens would be :

1) A colour view of friction velocities
2) A colour view of heights less than -5 m, choosing black or white
3) A colour view of heights greater than -3 m, choosing black or white

Then you superimpose view 2 and 3 on view 1, the black or white will cover all friction velocities that are not in the (-5,-3) range of heights.

But well, we do not maintain Rubens and it is given only for Windows, so it is not a very sustainable solution...

Dear all,
I also have another issue deal with visualizing velocity. When I used a small grid for T2D modelling, I can not view velocity. Because it is overlap each others. I used BlueKenue for present Telemac2D results. Could anyone help me?
Thank you

Try changing the "Scale" value on the velocity objects "Display" property page.
If the mesh density range is very large you can also map the velocities to a regular grid.

Cheers... Martin
