Hello guys!

I'm calibrating a river and I'll have to use different roughness in it. How can I do this using BlueKanue, if posible not using a subroutine?

Select the <Add Variable> item on the context menu of your new selafin object.
Name the variable "BOTTOM FRICTION"

Map friction values to this object using the "Map Object" function just as you would for mapping bathymetry. The source data could be polygons (regions of constant value) or a 2D Interpolator object for a continuous surface from point data etc.

I have to map the friction values after or before creating the BOTTOM FRICTION?

Here`s what I`m doing:
1 - Duplicate the t3s (mesh) file;
2 - The original one is my BOTTOM on selafin and the duplicated I'm mapping with my polygons with the friction coefficient put on the 'value', when edited the closed line. This one I rename as BOTTOM FRICTION;
3 - These both achieves I put on selafin tree.
4 - I use this selafin file on 'GEOMETRY FILE' in my .cas file

But the program is taking, instead the friction on the BOTTOM FRICTION, the one given on the Steering file.

Any idea what it could be?

From where? The "LAW OF BOTTOM FRICTION" or the "FRICTION COEFFICIENT"?
When I try to remove the FRICTION COEFFICIENT it don't works.

Here are my files.

Thanks

The Selafin I think is greater than I can attach. Send me your email for I can send all files.

You shouldn't have to remove FRICTION COEFFICIENT from your steering file. Telemac will select the friction coefficient from the Geometry File if BOTTOM FRICTION is provided there, and ignore the value in the steering file.

I've given a sample of using roughness in the geometry file. As you can see from my Steering File, I have the key word FRICTION COEFFICIENT = 0.40. However the results files has the varied Bottom Friction as per my geometry.

I hope example this helps.

Thanks.

One more question... Why should I run it just whit 1 processor, not in parallel?
'Cause my analysis w 1 roughness are running in 2hours, using 7 processors, if I don't use parallel processors it will take too much time...

I don't see why multiple processors should present a problem. But if it does, I may not be able to help you. You may need to start a new thread under the Telemac2D branch of this forum.

I've tested it, and it gives some different results.
But it's ok.

Thank you.
