hello everyone,

I want to simulate the Yangtze River in China. I download the topographic data in
visibleearth.nasa.gov/view.php?id=55219, however, it is in 2000, it's too old.
But I don't know where I can download the latest topographic data.

Can anybody can help me? Just recommending me some website to download the latest topographic data.

Hello Li:
I would suggest to obtain topography and bathymetry data for your model. Topography from 2000 or topography in 2015 should be very similar unless there has been major changes to the land. Rather than looking for the latest topographic data, I would look for higher resolution data. NASA or any satellite data tends to be very coarse (there's obviously exceptions). From my experience, LiDAR/DEM, single beam sonar / multi-beam sonar are currently the best methods to obtain high accuracy topo and bathy.
In terms of data in China - I have no idea.
