Humm, do you mean I should be able to open the file if the title field has 80 characters? I tried by changing the last title "Db" to something with 80 characters (see attachement) but trying to opening the mesh in the Meshviewer still yields the same error messages as before:

Am I missing some important steps? Or do you need to release a new version with a fix?

Thanks in advance!
PL

Normally, the title should have 80 chars and the last one should be 'D' ( telemac convention if I'm not wrong).

The new version 1.4.0-RC12 is now available:

OK, I tried the RC11 with 80th character as "D" and it works.
It also works with less than 80 characters with the latest RC12.

Great, thanks!

Have a nice weekend!

Hello,

Just a quick update. The RC12 does not seem to be able to read 3D slf files. They can be opened, but velocity components at each plane are read as 0.

There are no issues with an older version, for instance the 1.3RC5 (the only one I tried at the moment).

Is there anything to do so that the latest release can work with 3D files?

Kind regards
PL

Hello,

do you have a small example so that I can fix this issue ?

Thanks,
Fred

I extracted the last time frame of a 3D res file that you can download frpm the link below (valid 7 days only):

we.tl/t-rpgkOy5JWG

I tried to open it with RC12 again and could reproduce the bug so it's not related to file size I suppose...

Good luck and thanks in advance!

One question about 3D: is there any soft that can be used to see the result in a 3D view ?

Thanks for your fix, I am out of office now but will test it when back.

For 3D viewing the easiest solutions are Blue Kenue (reads selafin natively) or ParaView (needs a pluggin on Linux or a file conversion slf -> vtk on Windows).
