Hi Nicolas,

There is a directory "mtlplots" in pytel sub-directory of telemac system version 6p2 (in version 6p3 it is v6p3r1\scripts\python27\mtlplots). In the directory you will find the files plotTELEMAC.py, myplot1d.py and myplot2d.py which I think should help you in plotting selafin file generated by Telemac simulations.

Thank you very much for your answer. In fact, I am a beginner in python that is maybe why I experience difficulty in running these scripts. The fact is that I do not see how to use these scripts to visualise a selected data of a selaphin file like the bathymetry for instance. What are the prerequesites to use these scripts (libraries needed especially)? I do not see furthermore how to integrate the name of the selaphin file in these scripts neither the data retained for the post-processing.

I wrote something about python, matplotlib,... this worked with v6p2

you need python, matplotlib and numpy, scipy.

The simplest way is to use the sealfin reader is only to use it to get the basic things you need. This are the nodes (x,y), the mesh and the value (which is an array) you like to plot.
