Hello,
I use the software BlueKenue for the purpose of preprocessing for Telemac and Sisyphe.
In order to define the domains of friction, I divided the mesh into sub-domains. and so the Friction data are stored in Geometry file 'Selafin file' and read from it. Therfore, the keywords 'FRICTION DATA' and 'FRICTION DATA FILE' were not defined in Steering file.

Now I have to define vegetation (cylinder) in my mesh with diamater and spacing in given domain.

How can I do that? is it possible in Bluekenue?

Thanks for the support.

Hello Rima

You can read the appendix 5 of the user manual where all these deature are very well explained and where all key-words needed to trigger these options are described.
Moreover, you can see the validation case called "donau" in folder examples/telemac2d. You have just to adapt it for your case.

I hope this helps

with my best regards

Hello Riadh,
Thanks a lot for your answer.

I have read the appendix 5 and the example for Donau. the data in 'Friction data file' must be defined in relation to 'no: number of material area'.

But my question was:
I create the bottom friction zones with Bluekenue, so the domain with the same roughness does not have the same number. the roughness of each point is given by (x,y).

How can I create the 'Friction data file' in BlueKenue?
Thanks for your help

Hello Rima
you can for instance
1- define the zone number with BK
2-save the layer with an xyz extension
3- open the layer with excel
4- add a column with the node numbering from 1 to ... end (these are necessary the real node numbers since they are ordered by BK)

and then you save your file as zone file.

I hope that this helps
