Hello,

I just installed TELEMAC v7p3 on Win10 and wanted to run a model which I have used on Ubuntu 16.10., but I am not able to run the model either in scalar nor in parallel. The exit code does not help either.

For scalar it is:
job aborted:
rank: node: exit code[: error message]
0: DESKTOP-QGTSB05: -1073740940: process 0 exited without calling finalize

And for parallel the error is similar but for all 6 cores with:
job aborted:
rank: node: exit code[: error message]
0: DESKTOP-QGTSB05: 123
1: DESKTOP-QGTSB05: 3: process 1 exited without calling finalize
2: DESKTOP-QGTSB05: 3: process 2 exited without calling finalize
3: DESKTOP-QGTSB05: 3: process 3 exited without calling finalize
4: DESKTOP-QGTSB05: 123
5: DESKTOP-QGTSB05: 3: process 5 exited without calling finalize

I tried to run TELEMAC as Admin and as normal user, without any changes. What could be the reason for that? And how can I solve it?

Regards,
Clemens

Hi
If it crash in scalar, that sounds logical it also crash in parallel.
So you should investigate the scalar version.
If you just copy the file from ubuntu to windows, you should take care about the transfer method.
One important difference between linux and Windows is located in the special characters for line ending...

Where is located the crash?
In the python part or in the execution part.
If in the execution, in which subroutine...

Good morning Christophe,

Thank you for your help.
First I had issues, that the system did not know the keywords, so I guessed it could be different formatting between Ubuntu and Windows. So I created new .cas files written on Windows. Unfortunately my problem has not solved with this method. So guess the .cas files should be ok.

How can I find out where the crash is located? I attached the Console output here, since I can not see the error.

Best regards,
Clemens

Hi
You probably have the same problem with all the ascii files.
This means also in the cli file...
Some tools exists to change the line ending and some other to transfer files between linux and windows with taking care about this ending

Hi,

Could you recommend any program which can translate the files from Ubuntu to Windows. Unfortunately I do not have access to the Ubuntu Computer anymore.

You could use notepad++ for example.
It allows you to see the special characters

I used it for the .cas files, but how do I make it with the .cli files which I created under Ubuntu with BlueKenue using Wine?

Best

cli file is an ascii file so open it and look at the line ending characters
And change if necessary

Try also to activate debugger in the steering file to see exactly in which subroutine it crash

Hi Christoph,

I could use Atom.io to change the line endings in all files with one click. The issue is still present and I do not really know why, since also with activated debugger I do not get more information.

What could be the reason for this?

Clemens

Try to run in scalar only for the moment.
Try Telemac2d only first and add sisyphe and then tomawac
Add debugger=1 in the steering file
