hello,

i need some advices for my hydrodynamic simulation ...

i did a few hydrodynamics simulations for one river, and now i wanted see the impact of structures ( groins) on hydrodynamics.
i have changes the bathymetry file (.XYZ), i have put the groin but the cell size of my grid are too big for that TELEMAC consider them.

either i change the resolution of my grid, or is it possible to put a Z value for one node ?
because i use bluekenue and i can see the number of each node of my grid. and maybe with the subroutine CORFON i can put for one node, one value of Z ?? and if it's possible, can you show me how do that ? or if you have an another solution.

thank you

regards,

Da silva julien

Hi

Instead of using the bathymetry file, you could use BlueKenue or Fudaa-Prepro to add the bathymetry in the geometry file.
In Fudaa-prepro, during the management of steering file, you could edit the mesh and change the bathymetry localy.
I suppose it's also possible to modify localy the bathymetry of the mesh in BlueKenue

I think this way of working will be easier than working with a fortran file in which you will add corfon and manually program the bottom elevation.

Hope this helps
Christophe

If all you are changing is the Z value at a single node then in Blue Kenue...

1. Select the node using <double-click>
2. <right-click> to show the context menu and choose "Edit Selected Node"

If on the other hand you have new bathymetry for an area, the interpolator allows you to supply a contraint outline.
This allows you to modify just the nodes within a polygon.

Hope this helps... Martin

hello,

thank you for your answers.

every time, i ran my model with one bathy file and my grid (.slf)
i didn't know that i could create just one file (GRID+Bathy)

i just read your topic, Serrer ( "Creating SELAFIN files and mapping bathymetry to a mesh in Blue Kenue")
and now i can change easily the value of my bathymetry for each nodes.

thank a lot !
